Yvonne Neisler, charity quilt chairperson, and Teri Stajduhar from Sherman Hospital show a small sampling of the baby quilts donated to the hospital at the January 2010 meeting.
The Algonquin Quilters' Guild provides baby quilts on an ongoing basis to Sherman Hospital and/or St. Joseph Hospital, both in nearby Elgin, Illinois.
The baby quilt project will continue in 2012. All members are asked to make and donate a minimum of one baby quilt each year. Quilts may be turned in to Yvonne Neisler at the monthly meetings.
Finished quilts should measure 36 x 36 inches and can be pillow-turned.
The Algonquin Quilters' Guild has a library of books that can be borrowed by members at no cost. Books can be checked out during the general monthly meetings. We have an impressive number of titles; be sure to take a look!
